The platform is capable of calculating the water footprint using the Water Footprint Network methodology. This methodology is one of the most widely used worldwide, as it provides data on the overall water footprint and its components (blue, green, and grey) associated with a process or product, according to the desired scope.

 

Additionally, the tool is adaptable to other widely recognized methodologies, such as those from the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), the Volumetric Water Benefit Accounting (VWBA), and the SPRING Module by Global G.A.P. This flexibility allows alignment with different assessment frameworks depending on the objectives of each company or certification scheme.

Only the digitization of meters and a schematic of the processes carried out in the plant/business/process are required. Additionally, we will request a meeting with the process managers to gather information about the practices and uses implemented in the plant.

Analog data may be provided as long as supporting evidence is submitted. 

Firstly, the process is automated so that you will need fewer internal and external technicians to perform data tracking tasks. This reduces costs and increases operational efficiency related to traceability, calculation, and certification.

Secondly, it is fully traceable, so external certification is only required for one year. Once the technology is implemented, your water footprint will be certified in real-time every year.

Thirdly, the platform ensures the simplification of water sustainability reporting based on standards such as CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), VWBA (Volumetric Water Benefit Accounting), Water Footprint Network (WFN), AWS (Alliance for Water Stewardship), among others.

Finally, it allows you to identify your water footprint as well as potential losses or inefficiencies, helping you implement corrective actions, reduce your water footprint, and enhance your sustainability positioning.

The water footprint is certified by an external organization, Bureau Veritas, an internationally recognized entity known for its auditing and sustainability certification processes.
